Very disappointed with my last interaction with Bobby and Olive Auto Center. My one other interaction was very positive, hence two stars vs. just one. I brought my 07' Highlander in due to excessive rear end noise. I paid $140 for a diagnosis that my rear differential was shot (@ only 132K miles) and I also needed new rear wheel bearings. $1800 (after crediting me the $140 if I got the work done so really $1940) for the bearings OR $3600 (really $3740) if I got the bearings and a used differential done all at the same time. Doing them separately would be more (didn't find out how much). Not really excited about having to spend another $3600, I took the Highlander around the corner to Media City Auto. Tony guaranteed me that my differential was fine and charged me $1200 (not $1940) to change out the wheel bearings. When Tony was done - perfection! When I swung by to talk to Bobby later that same day, he said that sometimes the wheel bearing noise is transmitted by the axle and makes it sound like the differential is going bad, but again he didnt know how Tony knew that the differential was fine. There was also no consideration given to my request to refund $70 of my $140 inspection fee since it was 50% incorrect. I think Olive Auto Center probably does really good work most of the time, but they utterly failed me in this instance and I won't ever be going back again.
Rick I am sorry we didn't meet your expectation this time. Our goal is to make every customer happy. I am glad you got your vehicle fixed by just doing the bearings. Thank you for your input. I'll be sure to talk to my guys about it.
