Last week, I had the lovely experience of having my alternator die on me mid-way to work. During a panicked moment after it refused to start even after attempting to jump the battery, I had my car towed to the nearest shop that had the best reviews I found online, which ended up being Olive Auto Center. In all my franticness of figuring out the new plan of the day, I completely forgot to alert them that I was having my car towed there! We showed up, and I felt so bad when I realized! They were completely booked up for the day, but took me anyway. They were so nice, personable, and very transparent on pricing estimates. Bobby took the time to take a peek under the hood when I inquired about whether it was even worth it to fix at this point with previous issues it has (I knew prior), and he assisted me with addressing any possibilities that might arise in the near future for my car, (2005 Honda, getting up there in mileage). They helped me make the best decision without breaking my bank, AND they had my car fixed at a reasonable price that same day, despite being booked up! I have been mildly stressing about finding a decent, honest mechanic here in LA (I have been taking my car to an AMAZING one where I am from out of state, and have been nervous to engage in LA), and I think that was the day I stumbled upon one. Hooray!
